Should I work out today?

I over did it on jumping jacks on Sunday and my calves have been killing me since. I worked out again last night....today they feel about the same as during the day yestrday but they were very sore and tight last night and I was hobbling around the house.

They hurt a lot when I get up after sitting awhile and going down stairs is a nightmare. Should I give them a rest today, or will continuing to work out (run/walk on treadmill and bike) be good for them?

    Maybe do some exercise that won't use your calves. You can do some work on your upper body with weights
  • Don't forget warm-ups and cool-downs. ALWAYS stretch after a workout - slow with no bouncing. Try some yoga tonight or something low impact... walking wouldn't hurt. (STRETCH afterwards!) Feel better! :flowerforyou:

    Streching is as important to a workout if not more as the workout itself. Take a warm bath, that will help the healing process. Working out today is a good idea, but don't ask to much from your calves. Take care of your body.
