Should I work out today?

I over did it on jumping jacks on Sunday and my calves have been killing me since. I worked out again last night....today they feel about the same as during the day yestrday but they were very sore and tight last night and I was hobbling around the house.
They hurt a lot when I get up after sitting awhile and going down stairs is a nightmare. Should I give them a rest today, or will continuing to work out (run/walk on treadmill and bike) be good for them?

Maybe do some exercise that won't use your calves. You can do some work on your upper body with weights0

Don't forget warm-ups and cool-downs. ALWAYS stretch after a workout - slow with no bouncing. Try some yoga tonight or something low impact... walking wouldn't hurt. (STRETCH afterwards!) Feel better! :flowerforyou:0

Streching is as important to a workout if not more as the workout itself. Take a warm bath, that will help the healing process. Working out today is a good idea, but don't ask to much from your calves. Take care of your body.0
