Flat tummy standing, but bulges when sitting?

Looking in the mirror, my tummy looks pretty flat and sexy. Not a lot of definition, but not much that I can grab onto either. This makes me feel like I am almost done with my weight loss, but then when I sit down, my tummy bulges out over my waistband, and my pants are on the loose side so it isn't that. I can grab two big handfulls!
Here is my question: Do I need to lose more fat, or are my abs just too weak to hold in my insides? Tone or trim? Or both? Thanks!

I think everyone has a bit that they can grab when they sit down. You have to have some extra or you wouldn't be able to stretch backwards without tearing your skin. I doubt your intestines are getting past your abs so the extra you're seeing is some lose skin and abdominal fat. Keep working on trimming fat and build those core abdominal muscles.0

As I see here typing I can grab fat/skin around my stomach.
But yes, the more you lose the less you'll be able to grab. You're not flexing constantly and your body relaxes - there will be some skin/fat that sticks out some when you sit. I think even super fit people have *some*.....0 -

If those are your abs in your pic, and you can grab some when you sit, that makes me feel a whole lot better...0 -
Welcome to getting older. Older you get, the more of that will happen. Its mostly skin...and some fat. Especially as a girl, you will retain fat in your stomach section. Even if you look like Seachele77 with amazing abs...like she said...you will be able to grab some. It takes guys like 8-10% BF to not have that....and 8% is VERY hard to get to.0

Yes, that is me in the picture - so as I said, its normal.And even more so agree to above that as we get older the harder it is to get super flat even while sitting. When I was 21 I probably could grab less....but I'm sure there was still something around my midsection.

Posture will make a difference too. Sit up straighter and less will flop over.0
