Post-workout bloat

I'm assuming most people get this, but then I feel like I'm one of the most "prone to bloat" people I know.

After doing a heavy workout, no matter how much water you drink, do you get that weird "bloat"? My stomach will protrude, my thighs seem puffy, etc.

I know, obviously, it's water retention, and I'm fine and tight the next day--but the several hours after I work out, I feel like I look like I've NEVER worked out.

Your muscles will definitely get inflamed/pumped and/or retain water for the purpose of repair after heavy weight lifting. There's no way around this. If you're so vain that you worry about this impacting your looks, why not just work out late at night? The "bloat" should subside while you sleep and you'll look fine all day!

"If you're so vain"... lol woah, why the vitriol? I don't think it's vain when "gee, my clothes don't fit" happens.
