Need a little support to maintain.

It's been a few months since I've logged any calories into MFP. I was recording every single bite for about a year, and lost 35lbs doing it. (I never had a "goal weight" in mind, but this is the healthiest and slimmest I've been since high-school.)

I didn't necessarily "give up" - but I'd like to get to a point where I'm not concerned about every single bite of everything I eat. I feel like a failure now that I'm not counting every calorie. I've formed a number of good new habits, but without logging, I feel like something is missing and I'm out of control.

It's still a little unnerving to not know many calories I'm consuming, even though I'm probably within or under my calories every day.

Any suggestions for maintaining weight and not worrying about food? Or will this be a constant mental battle to not gain my weight back?

  • Exercise, eat when you are hungry. Stop when you're satisfied... Say "No" to yourself. Your body is not a garbage dispenser . CHANGE takes time!
