Hi all,
This is my first day at MFP and I'm so glad I found it! I am 27 years old and a mom to 2 beautiful children. I have always struggled with my weight. My junior year of highschool I hit 204lbs and I decided that I needed to do something. By the end of my senior year I was down to 165. I was thrilled to see the changes and vowed to get to my goal weight of 140. Unfortunately I never saw below 155. I ended up happy there and began to embrace my body at 22. Over the next few years I fluctuated slightly until I became pregnant with my daughter at 24. I didn't gain too much during my pregnancy but rather gained it afterwards. I went up to 170 and then got pregnant with my son. I stayed around 170 after having him in 2010. Lately I've watched my weight increase but refused to step on a scale. Last week I was weighed at the doctor and was 192lbs. It was a huge eye opener to see that I was so close the 200lbs again. I had to make a change. Today I am at 187lbs, granted its mostly water weight since its only been a week but I have made the decision to change my life and start living a healthy lifestyle. Ive tried every diet from weightwatchers to Atkins. Now I'm looking, not to diet but instead develop healthy eating habits that I can follow for the rest of my life. I am also starting the couch to 5K program and hope to find friends, motivation and support here!
My stats as of today:
CW:187.2
Height: 5'6"
GW: 140
LBs to go: 47.2
Can't wait to meet you guys!
