Sometimes you don't want to do ...

...what your trainer wants to do.

So my trainer wanted to do some sort of high rep, low weight circuit.

I wanted to hit a 90kg deadlift. We kind of compromised.

I did get this though *sad face*

Although in the spirit of honesty, the last 3 - 4 reps of the 50kg bench were assisted.

High reps and low weight is where it's at. That's what I do mostly and that's when I started seeing much transformation. I train my clients this way now most of the time as well. IT WORKS! Trust the process!

We'll have to agree to disagree Jacque.

I do 'lower' weights and higher reps during the week by myself. I don't need a trainer/spotter for that.

My body has changed dramatically since I started lifting heavy.

For you maybe, not for me.

I have done both, My strength gains are far greater with lower reps on the big compound lifts.

^^ looking at that chart, I think my trainer made a mistake anyway.

The first set of bench was with an empty bar. So 20 x 20kg.

Great lift! I'm even more impressed because you did it after doing that 70x15 marathon set.

About those hands....it's too bad gloves aren't allowed on mfp. Everyone is so hardcore here

I have grip issues, And it was recommended that I not wear gloves. Although, this trainer is pushing wraps, my real trainer doesn't.
