At the gym tonight.

You all have seen a girl like this. Just admit it you have.
She's the one in the super short shorts doing head stands and stretches that leaves NOTHING to the imagination.
This girl is as my gym. I've seen her quite a few times ALWAYS doing these stretches. NEVER have I seen her break a sweat.
My husband has even said he thinks she goes to the gym just to "tease" the guys.
Today I was doing a 100 burpees, sweating like a pig. This girl decides to start doing these "exercises" right in front of me and my husband.
After seeing into her shorts a few times. I decided to let her know I could see her underwear. Very nicely, I tap her on her shoulder. I whisper (so I don't draw anymore attention to her crotch on display). She takes her earbuds out and says "huh?" So I say a little louder "I can see your underwear."
She says "No, they are shorts."
I walk away.
Me thinking "Ok you dumb B(%@#. Just because in Victoria Secret they call them boy shorts. They are NOT shorts!!! They are underwear. AND EVERYONE CAN SEE THEM!!!"
Now, I have had a similar experience. Where a trainer came over and told me he could see up my shorts. I was embarrassed but GRATEFUL.
Nope not this girl!
My husband got mad at me for saying anything to her. He actually moved and did his burpees on the opposite side of the gym.
We've been arguing about it ever since.
Was it wrong of me to tell her I could see up her shorts?
I honestly thought she would appreciate it.
My husband said I did it because I'm insecure.

I kind of get the impression that you are a little insecure about her being there teasing the guys looking "hot" in her teeny workout clothes while you're there busting your *kitten* getting a proper workout in. You were right to say something to her though. But, whatever, let her play the dumb bint putting her privates on display. It's not classy and it only makes her look stupid.0
-
Based on the tone of your post, I don't have the impression that you were just trying to be nice.0
-
I'm sure she knew her stuff was hanging out.0
-
LOL, you made my insomnia so worth it tonight! (and not in a weird pervy way).
Frankly, I'd find it gross to see anyones underwear at the gym and if mine were visible, I'd appreciate a discreet notification. I'm on your side. And I'd be ticked off at my husband for moving away from me. Maybe she needs one of the men she's seemingly trying hard to bait tell her that her drawers are showing.0 -
no its true.. theres a girl at my gym that goes in front of all the guys where the heavy weights are and just gets on all four to do some stretches, bum in the air, of course i glance, but im not a oogler like the rest of the obvious fellas there0

If she was doing the stretches in the squat rack, or in some other way physically hindering my workout, I would tell her to GTFO. Otherwise, I look at those hot little chicks and think "Motivation". I'm sure she knows she's putting herself on display, and her reaction confirms it. If she put a pair of baggy sweatpants on, there would be another chick that showed up and put herself on display- just ignore it. Don't let anyone distract you from doing YOU. :happy:0
-
If it was me, and my partner said something similar, I'd probably be annoyed too.
For me, I don't love girls going out in skimpy little nothings just so guys stare at their rears, but its not my life and they know what they are doing for the most part (its not something like their zipper is down). So I'd say nothing. And if my partner said something, I'd just be embarrassed as I'm generally the type to let people do their own thing as it doesn't affect me.
But that is just me.0 -

She can do those stretches in my squat rack anytime. I'm not so selfish that I can't share. I'm sure there's room for her to stretch and me to curl at the same time. Perhaps we could spot each other. For safety reasons. Wait, have we confirmed that she's hot? We've only discussed her attire, not her actual hotnicity level.
Anyways, I'm totally siding with the husband on this. You didn't go to her in the spirit of helpfulness. Not at all. And before people judge if she's purposefully doing this in front of the guys, can we determine where we will allow her to work out? Is there a designated area? Is that area hidden from all the big, bad mens? Would you be more comfortable if she wore a burka?0 -

I wore a burka to the gym once...no your right I didn't.
I say leave her be and worry about your own workout.0 -

Pretty much this. lol.0 -
Oh yes. There's a girl like that at my gym.. she doesn't have her underwear on display but she has her hair and makeup all done and she spends like half an hour doing these ridiculously elaborate stretches and then hits the elliptical for 10 minutes and leaves. Like, wtf?0
-
Based on the overall tone of your post, you come off as insecure. She knows her bits are showing, she doesn't care, why should you, just politely ask her to move so you can have a better view than her bits...or something.0
-
We have a girl like that at our gym. Walks from guy to guy in short skirt and high heels before getting changed for her workout, which apparently involves findiing the biggest guy in the gym at the time and chatting to him for 30 minutes. It clearly works as she is often seen leaving with one of them. She is VERY friendly, never to the otter women there though. My wife just smiles and nudges me. Gym entertainment that's all0
-
I don't care what people wear or do at the gym. If my husband wants to check out some girl wearing skimpy gym clothes that's fine with me as I'm probably checking out some of the guys. Who cares. We're there to work out and if there is some pretty people to look at then it makes the workout go faster and it is very motivating.
If she's there to find a guy and it works for her, more power to her. What do you care? If you can see up her shorts then stop looking or move somewhere else. I hardly think that her motivation is to "tease" anyone.
I think you need to worry about yourself.0 -
he's be lookin there i'd be lookin at you lol...you got it goin on0
-
I do think you might be a little insecure. As long as your husband loves you for you then dont worry if shes around yall while she works out. If I was skinny and fit, I'd probably be doing the same thing. I mean what girl doesnt want guys or girls to let her know shes beautiful0
-
Oh and I would just stick to wearing the skinny shorts...I'd rather not flaunt my undies :-p0
-
i go to the gym to work out ... i dont care what other people are doing when they are at the gym ....
if she goes to the gym to show off her body and flirt .. well she pays her membership just like you do ... so shes more then welcome to use it how so ever she would like
i know when you are insecure its hard to control the negative feelings that come from your insecurities but you really need to find a way to do it... possibly some psycho analysis ...
it might also help you stop nagging your husband so much --> im assuming you do this due to his reaction0 -
Just ignore her and focus on your workout.. maybe go to the gym solo?0
-
Live and let live.
Stop being so prudish. No woman in the world would not know she is showing next-week's washing.
Plus. if she came to the gym in bikini bottoms, what's the difference.0 -
Was your husband annoyed because you mentioned something to her or due to the fact that he lost his 'show'?
It doesn't sound like you did it just to be nice.
I think you wanted her to stop showing off in front of your husband and maybe even embarrass her a little.
I still think it was the RIGHT thing to do - because you never know... Maybe she REALLY didn't know she was showing her undies.
If she keeps doing it after you told her though, she's doing it on purpose.
I personally would be grateful if a woman told me that, so in the end I think you did the right thing - just not the right intentions.0 -
Sounds like you were maybe just a bit jealous, OP. I doubt your entire attention was to be 'nice'.
That being said, I think you should've minded your own business. She wasn't bothering anyone.0 -

THIS.
From your post I definitely gathered that this girl was showing off. The whole, "No, it's shorts" thing sounds like she doesn't care if people see her underwear. I once had a girl tell me she could see up my skirt, I said, "Thanks, for letting me know. It's a good thing I'm wearing shorts underneath." I try appreciated it and didn't think she was being rude or insecure. I think you telling her was nice though and I think your husband is over reacting.0 -

Pretty much this. lol.
And your husband agrees.
However, I looked at your profile, and you are rocking' your own body. You've got 5 kids and you look amazing. Be proud of your own body and work it hard.0 -
It definitely sounds like she just wants attention. I don't think most women would go to a gym in booty shorts/something that might as well be underwear and bend over right in front of someone. If she wants to work out in her underwear okay whatever but do it at home. I do not go to a gym. I just have fitness equipment at home but if i did ever go to one i would never wear short shorts. If someone could see my underwear i would appreciate being told. Yeah i would be very embarrassed but that's better than a bunch of random people seeing everything.
I would have been annoyed with that too and i'm single.0 -
I'm usually too busy with my own work out to even look at let alone care what others are doing. Heck maybe I'm that girl in the skimpy shorts lol working out gets hot! I don't go to look cute, but I would like to think that if I decide to feel comfy and confident enough to wear shorts and a tank top to do my squats or one arm dumbell rows I won't have some judgy insecure wife wondering about my choice of outfit.
On the other hand if my crotch was showing I would appreciate someone telling me.0 -
Honestly you sound a little jealous....leave the girl alone. Even if she looks like a sleeze, that's her problem.0
-
Oh boy, would you be busy at a cross fit gym!
I say, be a little more self confident because I think the other girl's self confidence is what may have bothered you in the first place. Happens to the best of us so don't feel too bad. But yeah, I personally don't get bothered by that. If anything, good for her if she feels confident enough to wear that. Your husband's reaction is a little overly dramatic. I think you both should let it go.. No need to pout over that. This is such a typical marriage moment. I hope he and you both can relax a little bit and laugh about it sometime later.0 -
Lol i'd never approach her to say something like that. None of anyone else's business what she wears. Personally I'm far more interested in my own workout to worry about what other people are and are not wearing.0
