42lbs down, 38inch waist to 31 at 39 years old.

I was a heavy smoker for 17 years and a heavy binge drinker for 20 I had not exercised for about 20 years and had a sit down life style both at work and home.

I have a young child who is 5 I want to be here when he is 25 and I want to be a role model for him and its working he is eating well and perfectly heathy for his age.

In most cases I believe its a choice, choose not to live in denial, choose not to be fat, choose to exercise stop making excuses. If I can do it anyone can.

I am struggling to find before picture because I often refused to get in front of a camera.

Well done! How long has it taken you to lose the weight? I'm on a similar journey :-)

Basically 12 months for the 3 stone i think. I started learning about food 1st and lost 6lbs just through walking to work and eating. Then I joined the local gym in April and lost about 3 stone since then not sure of the exacts weight tbh.

My my worst weight before MFP in the last 2 years was 216lbs so actually lost 48lbs.

I can't see the one that are in the post, but you profile picture shows a lot of hard work has been done.

I am just finding those boney structures under my moobs  it's been a long time since I saw them.

Congratulations on your success and good luck with any future progress.
