realistic ab workout suggestions?

i need some good ab exercises that wont hurt my back. suggestions?

    I would suggest not to do them at all. Shape your abs vis diet and compound exercises. But planks and hanging leg lifts are the least offensive. Most of them are useless or wreck havock on your neck and back.

    i cant do a single crunch on my own.. no idea why.

    but ive bought an ab roller and i can now do up to 100 in a row with no back pain.

    it supports you so your positioned right and you can use your arms to help.

    its great id suggest buying one :D

    amen. these are the only two I bother with. and it's rarely more than once a week.

    squats and lunges - these activate your core and are excellent for 'abs'.... most ab exercises are pointless. planks are awesome though. they suck, but they are awesome! and side planks.... all variations really. Just make sure you have proper form or it's all pointless and could hurt you.
