Multi-vitamins

I was just wondering if any of you all think it's important to take a multi-vitamin when dieting, I do take one daily. But was wondering if it's necessary to take one in order to diet in a healthier way. What do you all think?

I take on every day. Personally I don't see a great difference, but I feel like taking it as it can help you get more energy from your diet and makes your skin look better!
  • I did way back in the day. Still got the office colds.

Kinda feel now that if you're eating right you wouldn't need them.

Plus that sickness feeling when starting them back up is just too much for me.

I take one gummy vitamin (half a serving) I try to eat well, so it's just an insurance policy.

I take one everyday. Costco brand was a pretty good deal for a Centrum clone.

Vitamin D is very good for the immune system and metabolism. Unfortunately most multi-vitamins dont have enough (only 200-400IU). I aim for the upper limit of 2000 iu per day in supplements. So I take a multi and extra vitamin D on top of that. There are some estimates that something like 70% of us are deficient in vitamin D, IIRC. Something to think about now that we are heading into cold and flu season.

TBH most aren't that bio-available and hard to digest and get pee'd/poo'd out. Get a decent brand that is shown to be digestible. Unless you like crapping your money away...
