So in the town where I live on a Saturday there are a group of market stalls, nothing fancy or farmers markety, just normal stuff you'd find in a market

I've started buying my fruit and veg there and look at today's haul

417355_10151016786911436_1645615972_n.jpg

A dozen free range eggs
Asparagus
Chinese leaf
Celery
2 bags of carrots
Broccoli
Peppers
Leeks
Apples
Pears
Nectarines
Huge bag of plums
and tomatoes

£14.50

For you US guys that's about $23 or 18 Euro.

Pretty cool huh? I love cooking and can't wait to get stuck in. it might take a teeny tiny bit more effort than cracking open a can of soup or a frozen meal but you know exactly what's in it and it tastes a damn sight better.

Right, I'm off to feel virtuous, and maybe a little bit smug LOL, and make a veggie lasagne. Happy Saturday everyone :)
