Calf Raise Block alternative

I had asked my husband to make a calf raise block for me from a video I'd found on a link posted somewhere here on MFP. He was going to do it this weekend and we went out to pick up the supplies. Before heading to Lowes we stopped at Target. They are clearancing out some of their fitness supplies (so if anyone needs handweights, kettlebells, or bands, you might get lucky) and one item I saw was a Reebok Incline Step. I had no interest in the step workout but looking at the step itself I realized it would be perfect to use for a calf raise block. It comes in 5 pieces (2 slanted deck risers, 2 flat deck risers and 1 top step deck). The top piece alone is probably adequate for a calf raise block as it's about 4" in height but using the 2 flat blocks raises it to 6". The top has a grooved surface for traction and works perfectly for calf raises.
It originally sold for $49.99 but is now on clearance for $14.98.
Sorry, still haven't figured out how to post a pic so here's a link to what it looks like on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Reebok-Incline-Step-with-DVD/dp/B003PB15YQ
