The most efficient metabolism booster is strength training. It will boost you metabolism for up to 36 to 48 hours beyond your exercise session.

Drink Green and Black Teas, and lots of it. Sweeten it with Honey or Stevia. The Flavonoids and EGCGs are excellent for your body. Recent research shows that it may be effective for weight loss and longevity.

I think metabolism booster information is as misleading as BMR calculators. I personally subscribe to the theory that healthy eating combined with moderate exercise is the most efficient way to boost the metabolism. I am also caffeine free so I wanted to warn that Black and Green teas are high in caffeine. Red Tea is a great alternative and is naturally decaffinated. It doesn't have all of the same affects but that is because it lacks the stimulants.
