Lowfat Yummy Milkshake

So I was really craving a milkshake today, and was going to go for my traditional smoothie instead, but discovered I'd run out of all of my frozen berries. So I came up with this instead, and it was the PERFECT treat! Now this is definitely a treat and not just an everyday indulgence, but so much better than having a real milkshake (it tastes better, AND is better for you). I couldn't even taste the banana in it, but it added great texture and sweetness. I'm thinking of experimenting different canned fruits another week and see how it comes out (pears, peaches, oranges, etc.) and diff coffee flavors (mocha with the orange, french vanilla with peach).
I used 1c. skim milk
1/2 c. crushed ice
1/2 medium banana
2 tbsp. Caramel Macchiato coffee creamer

Blend all up in blender, smoothie maker, or whatever you have (mine worked great in my Magic Bullett food processor) until the ice is completely crushed and drink is smooth/thick. Then serve with a straw. ENJOY!

Just wanted to show you a nutritional comparison:

I have done this before as well. I like to peel and freeze my bananas (great for when you have overripe ones!) then you don't need to add any ice!

I always keep tons of frozen bananas in the freezer. Toss in 1 or two with unsweetened almond milk and a tablespoon of nut butter and if want
Chocolate, some cocoa powder and you have a large smoothie that tastes just like a milkshake for far less calories.
