Whatcha guys got? How much did you pay for it? I've been looking on amazon/reviews, but I can't find any particular scales that have more than 5 good reviews.

I bought the Taylor 7506 Glass and Chrome Digital Scale from Amazon. It is a no frills digital scale with really big numbers that I can almost read without my contacts in (if I squint!). It was under $22.

I also bought the Omron Body Logic Fat Loss Monitor model HBF-306C from Amazon. It was a bit pricier at around $30. However, it is nice to have a way to check my body fat percentage.

Before this I have owned two scales that had body-fat features built in. My Tanita scale I recall was fairly expensive and worked great for about 7 or 8 years. But after that it blinked out and even when I changed the batteries it just never worked properly. I don't remember what the brand name was of the other body-fat scale I purchased was. I got it at a Bed, Bath and Beyond. (I think it might have been Homemedics, but I wouldn't swear to it.) Anyway, that one conked out on me after only 9 months. Again, even after I changed the batteries it was all wonky and didn't work right. It gave me an error message every other time I stepped on it.

That is why I went with the Taylor no-frills model I have now. It has worked out great. I have no complaints. I also like my Omron monitor, but I've only had it for a couple of weeks.

Good luck with your buying decision.

DOH! I just re-read your message and noticed that you said FOOD scale. Silly me.

I have a digital food scale that I've owned for about eight or ten years and I love it. It's a Salter Aquatronic. Sorry, can't remember the specific model number or how much it cost.
