I keep it in the refrigerator and have no problem with mold or staleness. If I get an extra loaf (BOGO sales), I keep that in the freezer until we're ready for it.

I had the same problem, and started doing exactly that. I've also noticed that butter bread seems to go bad faster. It gets like a sour smell.

we keep our bread in the microwave, it really helps. i know that's weird lol! we don't heat it up though lololol.

I take it you've never heard of a bread bin? Haha.
Just keep it somewhere where the humidity can't get to it.
  • Bread doesn't last long enough in my house for this to happen, unless you count the little end pieces that pile up in the back of the cabinet.

Am I the only one that thinks it is funny that we throw away moldy bread but save the good bread and spread it with cheeses that have been allowed to mold on purpose? (think bleu cheese and such).

Throw away the moldy piece and eat the rest. It's not going to hurt you.

Lol I wish bread in my house lasted long enough to grow mold. I live with bread eating monsters!
We easily go through 3 loaves in a week...
I buy them on sale and keep them in the chest freezer. (I find it tatses funny if kept in the freezer above the fridge)

Just a random annoyance that happens on a weekly basis!

Keep your bread in the freezer and take it out as you use it. Will save you some cash, apparently.

Are you storing it properly? I rarely have bread that gets moldy, and it is bread that we have too long, or isn't stored correctly.
