twisted ankle :(

So i have been exercising everyday for the past couple of weeks. i twisted my ankle at the gym yesterday doing a step class, the area around my ankle is a bit swollen but nothing too bad...anyone know how long i should wait till i can start running again wearing an ankle support? or how else can I work out, is biking ok?

    I did the same thing on the treadmill while running a few weeks ago. Sprained ankle with posterior impingement.
    I've been doing swimming and biking, pretty much everything else hurts. I've been doing weights too but not the leg press or anything that stresses the ankle.

    At the 3 week mark I tried to run but it was instant pain. I'm at 4 weeks now and I was able to run from one end of my house to the other without too much pain.

    I'm about to start physical therapy this week and dr said I could start running again after 2 weeks of that.

    I've really started to enjoy biking & if I had not been able to run probably would never have gotten into it. So something good came out of it!!
