I asked this of my "friends" , I want more opinions also. Is it better to drink water that is room temp. or cold water? I heard that room temp water helps with digestion, but cold water makes your body work harder. I am confused.

You have to enjoy what feels right to you and what satisfies you. I have always liked to drink ice cold products. I grew up that way. Now when I run I crave ice cold water after my runs. Room temperature water does not satisfy me. My sons on the other hand, who have played sports all their lives, prefer room temperature water.0

Makes no discernible difference whatsoever. Just drink your water the way you like it.0

Both are true! Warm water is easier to process and can feel soothing, cold water must be warmed by the body, hence the work. I had an accupuncturist who told me that drinking cold water is a "shock" to the system! Which made sense to me and I started drinking room temperature. I prefer it now but on occasion have cold water which feels more refreshing.0

During my workouts and whenever I drink water - cold with ice cubes - there is no other way...0

For me, ice cold water "tastes" better, or satisfies me more generally. But in times where I feel a little dehydrated room temperature water helps to do the trick faster of satisfying my body's needs.
