weight loss, but measurements haven't changed...

So far, I've lost 23 lbs, finally in onederland sitting steady at 198, but even though I'm doing everything I can, I haven't seen any physical difference in close to 2 months. Initially, with the first 10 or so lbs I lost, I lost 5 inches from my midsection, 4 inches from my chest, and 3 inches from my waist. However, in the past couple of months, nothing even though I have lost a fair amount of weight. Generally, I go to the gym 4 days a week, and start with a warm-up cardio session, then do weights for about 45 minutes, rounding it all off with abs and some light cool-down cardio.

The weight's coming off, but my measurements aren't changing in time. Any thoughts?

Strange, almost backwards really for doing weight lifting.

Usually, even with extreme deficits, the only thing that preserves the LBM is specific lifting routine and eating enough protein.

But, you can't spot reduce. So if you are only measuring in a few spots, you may not be measuring where you happen to be losing right now.

Well, I measure waist, hips at the navel, stomach below the sternum, and chest at the nipple. Although I'm sure there are hundreds of more places to measure, I'm more concerned with those 4.

Of course I'm not sure I know what I'm doing, lol. However, I have done literally hours of research as to what workouts are better for toning and burning fat, consulted a couple different personal trainers, and try to vary the routine fairly often to avoid getting myself into a rut. There's always room for improvement, but I feel like these things should have done something more recently than it has.

Personally I like Stronglifts 5x5 for the first year of lifting.
After 6 months youll need a break but the program is progressive loading and forces you to add weight each session.
If you have a gym membership I highly recommend it.
Stick with the 2k a day and see how you feel in a month.
