Slow and steady wins the race?

Hey all -

I have been using MFP since January of this year and lost about 40 pounds. Most of that time I had not been working out at all, just experimenting with calories. I realized that my loss in a 7 month period isn't too astonishing...so I joined a local gym and have been going 3-4 times per week. I am hoping that this and logging my meals will help me drop another 30 pounds by the end of the year. Has anyone else been able to drop so much weight in just a few months? I haven't really set a goal since being on here, so this will be my "mini goal" before I set a hard goal weight.

Any input or tips are appreciated!
