So im having a slight issue with this pork shoulder and figuring out what the calories really are in it.
I take pork shoulder and slow cook with in water with pepper, salt and garlic
anyone know a good item to use to represent the calories in this dish?

I'd search google for a similar recipe. Also, check bonappetit.com and epicurious.com as they list nutritional facts for recipes. I'm sure you'll be able to find something that you can use.
I usually look up a few things and then take a low average. Good luck!0 -
If you're worried about the sodium intake create a recipe otherwise I'd just search the database for pork shoulder. The seasonings aren't going to add much calories if at all.0

not worried about the sat or seasonings, I found a recipe that was for slow cooked pulled pork no sauce, but 6 oz was 1,000 calories! i knew that couldnt be right. found a walmart generic pork shoulder and says 6 oz is only 255cals - that seems low to me too. im so confused.0
