hey guys... so i originally though i was lactose intolerant after speaking to my doctor. i think i have it pretty mild.. what really makes my stomach hurt is the whey protein ( i was using EAS chocolate protein). I love the calories and amount of protein in that powder but now i can no longer use it.. Does anyone know of any good lactose free powders (low in fat, calories and carbs but high in protein).. I have heard some mixed things about soy protein and i would like to stay away from egg protein because of the cholesterol. Thanks guys!!

If you use whey concentrate, it will have lactose. However, if you get whey isolate, it will virtually be lactose free which would likely be ok if you consider yourself mildly lactose intolerant. I have a few friends who are in that category as well and they do not have any problems with it nor with Milk Protein Isolate.

Use a Whey Isolate. I'm lactose intolerant too.

Like others have said, make sure it's whey Isolate, not Concentrate. I use Isopure because it also has no aspartame, which makes my eyelids twitch.
  • Why Isolate
    Raw Protein (Garden of Life)
    Warrior Food (Vegan)
    Vega Protein

All of the above are high quality choices.
  • Check out Labrada Lean Body shakes. I get mine on Amazon. I am VERY lactose intolerant and these are great for me. I get the Vanilla, 40oz ready to drink ones and it is 260 cals, 9 carbs, 9 fat, 40 protein, 9 fiber and no sugar and lactose free. I love that I can get them ready to drink and that they fit all of my needs!
  • I use GenSoy protein powders. I have plain, but it also come in vanilla and chocolate, if I remember correctly, and it's vegan, so no lactose.

You can use a vegan protein powder like sun warrior or vega sport. That way you don't have to worry about whey or any of that crap.
