Lift first or cardio first?

Hey everyone
On those few days that you have time to squeeze in both cardio and resistance training, which do you tend to do first and what seems to work better for you (as far as results)? I have read different things on what is more effective, but nothing conclusive. I am sure that if you get to do both, it will be helpful all around, but I would love to maximize results if possible.
My workout now consists of running and a modified P90x routine that I can do at the gym - hope I can keep up with it. Any workouts that you may have found effective?
Feel free to add me so we can help motivate each other and keep each other accountable!
