I also posted this in the Fitbit group but some of you may not be members there - so I've only had my fitbit for a week and I'm hoping someone can help me please???
I understand Fitbit has BMR + exercise calories factored in and MFP is strictly exercise calories only and is already accounting for your BMR for the day.
How do I know how many calories I can eat? The adjustments arent given in real time it seems. This doesnt help me if I want to know how many calories I can eat after a workout.
For example - my fitbit said I burned 548 calories for 35 mins on the treadmill, but what did I REALLY burn? (this calculation includes my BMR calories within it). It seems to me that you have to manually REMOVE your BMR calories in order to get your TRUE calories burned right away to know what you can eat back in exercise calories ...
Am I making this too complicated? Do others do the manual calculation every time? Who wants to wait 24 hrs to find out what they could've eaten??
Is there a way I can find out in real time this info?
