Embarrassed by support from friends?

Does anybody else get uncomfortable when people tell them they’ve lost weight?
I’m not saying I don’t enjoy it or squeal/smile about it later, but when someone I know comments on the weight I’ve lost, I’m always backtracking and finding other reasons why they think that. “These pants aren’t baggy; I probably just need to wash them.” “This shirt is just really slimming.” “Black makes everybody look lean!” And then I brush off the conversation and change the subject.
Not exactly what I was expecting from myself after I lost weight. It’s kind of a weird phenomena. Like I can’t accept it? Or am almost... Embarrassed about it?
Does anybody else find this to be true?
