logging strength training

I work with a trainer for 30 minutes but I can't figure out a way to enter it as strength training rather than individual exercises. Anyone know how and can help me?

When I worked out with my trainer (Mel), he told me that we burned approx 600 cal in a 50 min session. So that would be about 12 cal / min. so 360 for a 30 min session... ?? I added it to 'my exercises' as "mel workout" in strength training.

Search for strength training or weight lifting under the cardio section and it will give you a calorie value.

    this sounds incredibly too high!!!!!
  • it might be estimated by your metabolic rate, weight and total active time...instead of how long you were at the gym. Being as accurate as possible with basically, a guess.

I work with a personal trainer once a week. I wear a HRM during my session. Under cardio I created an exercise & titled " Working session with a personal trainer" which I log the burn under. I am also very detail oriented and have logged each individual strength exercise under the strength category. If it is not there, I will usually create it like we use the TRX resistance bands and it is not in the database.

for why strength training will burn fewer cals than cardio, but is still so important.
