Hi guys,

I just recently broke up with my SO and need some motivation. How do you stay motivated to eat healthily and keep up w your workouts when you're really bummed? It's also hard bc I used to always have someone to eat most meals with and now I am on my own!

You should be eating healthy for YOU, not for your SO.

Focus on how good working out and eating healthy will make you feel.

I actually do better when I am eating on my own because I don't have to take anyone else's wants/needs into consideration when I choose my food... but that's just me. I found that it was easier to stay on my plan when I didn't have to worry about what the other person felt like having on any given day. My ex used to travel a lot for work, and I found I was losing much better while he was away! LOL

Spend some time actually planning your meals over the course of a few days, and treat yourself to some really great groceries (I like to check out Whole Foods or Trader Joe's for these trips). Examine the produce as if you were purchasing a piece of fine jewelry. Pick out the best one of all your favorite fruits and veggies -- just ONE of each -- and anything healthy that your Ex didn't like to eat.

Enjoy every single bite, no pun intended. ;)
