advice on lingerie

So the lady and I were talking about how to make sexy time a little more special and agreed she could use some sexy lingerie. But not trashy - seems like everything out there is all shiny satin and ruffles and that is just not right for my old fashioned girl. She's into history and would like something thing more along the lines of a Victorian bustier - lacy or muslin - something with some boob spillover. In other words, more Renaissance Festival and less fetish outlet. She's 5'11, 165, D Cup, small hips. Any ideas, ladies?

    Well, I know people who know how to make corsets and cinchers so that helps me. There are plenty of websites for custom corsets and bustiers. Maybe you could take her to a renaissance faire to look at all the corsets and stuff to get an idea of what she likes. They could also do a fitting to help her see what kinds flatter her figure best.     We have renaissance fairs where I'm from, so I would ask the actors where they get their costumes.

    or find a good seamstress and go custom....build what you really want....

    i used to have a collection of corsets, bustiers, all sorts of things, all custom .....then i had a daughter and gave it all away...

    currently working on rebuildling my cache...

    it's expensive...but so worth it in my opinion...

    ebay has a good selection, especially for the price. Or Victoria Secret or Fredricks. :-) she might even decide she likes some of the sluttier stuff.

    I just can't get on board with a lot of sexy lingerie - so much money for such little clothing that is only going to be on for a split second.

    My faves - lacey boy shorts.... or a large white button down shirt and nothing under!! :wink:

    Take a joint shopping trip to Victoria's Secret or the lingerie shop of your choosing and pick something out together. Mos def a good time and quite sensual. Remember pre-coitus activities do and should start well in advance of the bedroom. If you only start there you are truly missing out.

    Corsets can be hot but damn the good ones are hard as hell to get off. I just go with a mens button down with nothing under it.

    Amazon and ebay is where I'd go first. (not ebay for lingerie---for renaissance type affairs--just saying--they got new and clean stuff on ebay though if you'd want to)
