Os Peroneum

I was recently diagnosed with Os Peroneum. It has happened as a result of my peroneal tendinitis injury and the results have left two small bone bumps on the bone around my peroneal tendon. Apparently I can choose to live with the mild to moderate discomfort or I can opt for surgery. Has anyone else had this and if so what did you do? Did you get surgery?

Sorry. I never heard of it. I'm always told to either ice it, or to stop running if something hurts. Oh, and to stretch. I hope everything turns out well.0
