New to MFP and need motivation and support

I am glad I found MFP and that I have a place where I can keep track of what I eat and track my calories. This will keep me accountable! I have tried various diets out there to no avail. I weigh over 200 lbs and I'm only 5'1. I see my Dr. tomorrow and I know he will get on me for gaining weight. My short term goal is to get under 200 lbs. I wear size 22 pants and extra, extra large t shirts so my other short term goal is to lose a couple of dress sizes one by one.

For exercise, I walk and do light yoga for back pain and fibromialgia as I cannot do anything strenuous.

I want to make friends here who I can get support and motivation from. I want to be equally supportive as well.
