Why is potassium not required on food labels?

Maybe I'm the only one, but seeing food labels without a potassium value irritates me! So many people believe that problems associated with high-sodium (ie, hypertension) are ONLY associated with high-sodium diets or maybe water intake, too (especially w/ regards to bloating), but nobody seems to realize that potassium is the other half of the sodium story! (think about how our body uses sodium to maintain cell functions- the sodium/potassium pump).
Do you think it would be helpful if the FDA required potassium on nutrition labels, too?
