Shredding with insanity?

So I just finished my bulking phase. I'd like to work on shredding down now. I'm considering doing insanity but I'd also like to keep lifting in the gym to keep as much of my muscle mass as possible. I know it's inevitable that I'm going to lose some muscle while shredding but if I keep lifting will that make me lose more of it or keep more of it? Would doing both be too much? Should I up my caloric intake to help maintain the muscle or will that just slow down the shredding process? I'd like to drop a good chunk in a month. I have a Combat Fitness Test (CFT) for the Marine Corps coming up and it'll help to shred down. What's everyone's thoughts on this?
