I am trying to deal with my family whining and being butts over me trying to eat healthier. Its not my husband or kids, but my dad, brother, etc. I happen to live right next door to my dad and brother and they often eat dinner at my house- and come over just to hang out and visit. My dad has been on my case to lose weight for the last few years btw. I am cooking healthier meals and not serving things like garlic bread or biscuits with our dinners every night. Tonight I made a yummy chicken parm with my home made spaghetti sauce, when my dad wandered in at dinner time he asked "What no garlic bread? Was the store out?" (then went to the store closest to our house who doesn't always have garlic bread and didn't tonight)- when he came back he complained about me trying to starve everyone for my own vanity and went home without eating. I used to bake a lot of cakes and candies and cookies because we all liked them, especially my dad, and haven't been doing so but I do have goodies around the house (things I don't like mainly) and I have my goodies in my bedroom (I have to hide things like my fiber one brownies or he will eat an entire box and go looking for more and they are way to expensive for that). Short of telling my dad to either shut up and deal with it or telling him not to come over for meals anymore (he doesn't cook and is a diabetic I know I know) I don't know what to do. Do any of you have to deal with this kind of crap?

Yep..when my mum comes for Sunday roasts I will only have one Yorkshire pudding and lots more veg, used to have three or four :noway:so now when she comes over she moans about that although she'll have her usual. She thinks I should carry on eating like I was before as she feels like I'm not eating like her
When we go out I alway have the healthiest choice that I'm able to get but she hasn't cottoned onto that yet
It's difficult when family try to put you off...they should be encouraging, but unfortunely most of the time they're not :noway:0 -
unfortunately you just have to ignore them.
I'm lucky enough to have an incredibly supportive family and an incredibly supportive fiance (my ex wife was not so much)...and it was really bringing me down. It's so much easier when you have people to motivate you and you motivate them.0
