Used My HRM for the first time today

It was pretty neat, it had a feature I didn't even know about. I went to the Y and got on the elliptical...and somehow it linked to the machine I was on and kept my HR displayed the whole time. I thought that was pretty nifty.

BUT....my calories burned were completely different on the elliptical compared to my monitor. While the heart rate was dead on, and both had my age and weight entered in the same the elliptical showed my calories burned as 300 and my HRM showed 134 burned.

I decided to go with the elliptical numbers but not sure what to do about the huge difference since most of my cardio comes from Zumba. Maybe just take the low number and reap the benefits of low balling my calorie burn? What do you think?
