30DS tips?

I'm on day 3 of level 1 and I'm a little sore, are there any stretches I can do to help ease the soreness?

I also wonder if I'm doing the exercises right? The areas that are bothering me are my upper arms, my calves, my back muscles, but mostly around my stomach. I've never done any exercising like this before, I just want to make sure I'm hurting where I should be.

I realize that as my muscles rip and reform it'll hurt, but again, I want to make sure it's normal since I'm new at this.

That just means that you are doing it right. Some things that might help--yes, do stretches all over, drink lots of water, and most of all stick with it!!! The next times that you get sore, it won't last as long.
You're doing great, keep it up!!!!

When i started 30DS, i ached like a b***h afterwards, particularly my thighs and back.

Make sure you do a good warm up. Jillian doesn't focus on this and IMO, what she provides at the beginning is not enough.

Equally, you need a good warm down and stretches, more than she gives.

Make sure you wear a well supporting sports bra, this does make a huge difference. I also found wearing tighter fitting compression trousers helped hold my stomach in tight so there was less 'jiggling' about (eeewwww!).

Good supportive trainers are also a must.

Make sure you drink plenty after a work out - a lot of trainers recommend milk, which i think is supposed to be good for restoring muscles.

And i found the best way to get through the pain the day after was work out again. It does get easier after about day 6.

If you're not used to working out and using certain muscles, they will be sore for a few days after working out. Drink a protein shake after you workout, which will help the muscles. Just listen to Jillian when she shows you the correct form and pay attention to how you're doing it. I still keep an eye on my knees when I squat to make sure they don't do past my toes. I'm constantly telling myself to use my core and control my movements. Once you keep working on your muscles, they wont hurt as much or not at all. Just pay attention to the hurt though, you don't want to injure yourself.
