I'm a patrol deputy. It's funny how when you get fit you get way more respect. LOL My husband and I are both in the field. He has always been fit. I ballooned up after getting hired much to my horror. I had to get bigger uniforms. Little does the guy who was arrested in the back of my patrol car know that his calling me a fat *kitten* all the way to the jail know that he was the straw that broke the camels back for me. LOL. I started my weight loss quest right then and there 3 years ago and never looked back. My husband laughs at how I am treated now by my co-workers compared to when I was fat. When I was fat I was an inkblot, no one cared what I thought. Now, I'm asked my opinion, given respect when I walk in the briefing room, and invited to work on some fun tactical missions. Life is good.

    Good luck to you!

    Hi,
I work for a Sheriff Department, but am a civilian. But I still understand this field, the people and every sweet thing that comes with it. Good luck to you!
