Overnight Oatmeal is a FAV in our house three reasons:
You can dress it up as much as you want (coconut, flax, rasins, cranberries, apples, cinnamon etc. etc. etc. - this also reduces the need to add sugar)
You make it in the crockpot over night, so on busy mornings breakfast is ready the second you wake up!!!
The best way to make it is with steel cut oats, so it doesn't get soggy...these are oats in their truest form. All other types of oats have been dehydrated and rolled (which is not bad exactly...just not as good)
Google a basic recipe and do all the add ons yourself - oh and make sure you GREESE the pot before putting anything in - I love coconut oil because it adds flavour and is an excellent fat choice!!0 -
i eat oatmeal with one banana with some brown sugar every morning and sometimes apples instead of bananas it is delicious and I never get tired of it0
