Ok, so I have started some new exercises (Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred). I have noticed as of late that when I do certain exercises or even stretches my right shoulder pops and even starts to hurt. I pushed it a little harder today so it hurts a little more than it has. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have suggestions?

The pain is not severe. It only hurts when I am doing the exercise (though today it hurt for a little while after- just felt sore).

It could be that you just tweaked something or it could be indicative of a bigger issue. What exercises specifically are causing the strain? Do you see a chiropractor? There might be a physical therapist there that could lead you in the right direction as to what may be causing the pain.

Shoulder popping is fine it happens to everyone, pain on the otherhand is not. I would take some antiinflamatories like ibuprofen, ice it, & let it cool down. If it continues and/or gets worse then see a doctor. if it was a rotator cuff or bone spur you would not be able to get over it too quickly & would progressively get worse to the point of being limiting (from experience). If you ice & take ibuprofen say 600mg 3 times a day w/ food & it does not go away then see a sports medicine doctor.
