I'm on a mission to extend my breakfast repertoire

Now that I'm home more in the mornings, I think pancakes once or twice a week is doable..
I love pancakes, but my basic recipe calls for banned ingredients and would total millions of calories

Ideally, I'd love something with not more than 80/90 cal. per cake...yeah, I know it's asking a lot, but eating only one pancake is not very fun! No fancy ingredients would also be great- I live in Narnia and some things are hard for me to find :flowerforyou:

If anyone's interested, I found these 3 ingredients, paleo pancakes:

accordind to MFP, should be around 92 cals per pancake, but I have to get my hands on almond butter first)

I think someone posted a recipe, or I may have seen it in the food and nutrition forum, for pumpkin pancakes.

I just lost the link in the recipes. But there is a recipe for gluten free, low carb pancakes. Super thin, but only 20 cals per. 77?? for four. See if you can spot that. :)

Ok so I lose it everytime I try to find it - so copying it here :)

    2 oz. low-fat cream cheese
    2 eggs (whites only)
    1 packet truvia
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    77 calories for 4 pancakes

Blend all ingredients until smooth and cook as you would with regular pancakes. Add whatever toppings you'd like to kick it up a notch! I love adding a few chocolate chips and topping with berries.

Search for oatmeal pancakes in the recipe section. They are delicious & low calorie. I also added blueberries so you can have them without butter or toppings. Very yummy!

Bisquick has a healthy heart pancake mix.. 147 for 2 pancakes and 11g carbs. I'm diabetic and these are not bad in calories and carbs. They are wheat flour. also you can look for hungry jack sugar free syrup .1/4 cup 20 calories and 8 grams of carbs

Pancakes are already pretty low calorie. It's the syrup that bumps up the cals. I cut back to three pancakes (used to eat four) and limit it to 1/4 cup syrup and no butter.
  • Thanks everyone!

The prepackaged kinds MrsMohawk suggested I won't find for sure..
..but I'll definitely try the ones with cream cheese!!

I made a paleo recipe this morning, and they turned out delicious! Here's the recipe if you're interested!

    2 ripe bananas
    1/3 cup coconut flour
    6 eggs
    1/4 cup coconut milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp cinnamon

    Makes 10 pancases or so.
I used regular flour as I was out of whole-wheat, and 2% milk instead of coconut.
I also added a bit more flour as my batter was too runny...

they were super delicious!! I ate 3 for breakfast and one for a snack this afternoon!
