I have a question, "how long should you wait to exercise, mainly run after you donate blood?". I am currently training for a half marathon on October 21st, I did not know if donating blood would affect my training in any way.

Your body will replace the plasma in a relative short period of time -- 2-3 days.
Replacing all missing blood cells will take 4-6 weeks. During that time performance can be impaired.
It may sound selfish, but if you are planning to run a 1/2 marathon in roughly a month, I would not screw up my training or performance by donating blood at this time.0
