PROTEIN AND FIBER

After tracking my food intake for a couple of days on this site I realize I am lacking terribly in protein and fiber. Does anyone have any suggestions on the type of food high in both? I thought eggs were good but they only contains 6g protein. I have GERD so a lot of fruit is out unless I want horrible heartburn all day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't help much on the fiber beyond veggies. But, for protein I like EAS chocolate protein powder. It's like drinking creamy chocolate milk (as long as you mix it with milk - it's a little thin with water).0

Some good whole wheat pastas are high in fiber and protein. Also see brown rice pasta. Proteins are usually in meats and dairy. Fiber in cereals, etc. Fiber One cereal has crazy amounts of fiber!0

I love fiber one stuff. Besure to increase your amounts of fiber slowly or you will be very uncomfortable! I eat a FO yogurt every morning. Very tasty! I noticed they also have cottage cheese now which would satisfy both problems. Good luck!0

I use roasted soy nuts to increase protein. Great to add to salads, soups. I actually have a breakfast that is high in fiber and protein. You might find it a little unconventional, but I had it this morning and I wasn't hungry again for over 5 hours.
It is a Thomas Kemper Light Multigrain English Muffin, with a tablespoon of Earth Balance Almond Butter, and a quarter cup of Roasted Soy Nuts. 260 calories, 7 grams of fat, 18 grams of protein, and 11 grams of fiber. If you absolutely can't imagine this without something sweet, you can add a little Smuckers no added sugar fruit spread, which I think adds about 40 calories for a serving.
The Kemper muffins I mentioned are a good source of fiber and one only has 100 calories. Another similar product is Orowheat Sandwich Thins, also 100 calories per serving, and similar in fiber. Neither has any high fructose corn syrup, and both have lots of whole grains.0 -

Beans and peas are a good source a fiber and protein. 1/4 cup dry (1/2 cup cooked) will give you most of the fiber you need. Also popcorn is a good none soluble fiber. Also try flax meal or flax seeds. Add them to your yogurt for added protein and fiber. Nuts and nut butters are also good for protein and fiber.0

I drink a Syntha 6 protein shake in the morning. It has 22g of protein in it.
Other options would be nuts, low fat dairy, peanut butter, tofu/soy.0
