What do you guys say when someone calles you "fat" or "ugly" via Facebook? I mean, even if you know they've never met you and couldn't possibly know if you're either of those things, that crap hurts!!! lol

you should not care about that0

think, most men didnt care about that0

Unfriend them. Obviously they aren't your friend if they feel the need to put you down.0
-
I wouldnt let it bother you, some people will say things out of spite or jealousy...just let it roll off your back and smile ...btw you are neither fat or ugly0
-
I laugh, and say "you should have seen me last year!" - bottom line is, when I lost my 50lbs I felt amazing, and when people said stuff like that to hurt me I had to laugh, because it's so stupid and uninformed, and not even an intelligent insult - it's just the easiest one.
Don't take it to heart, because if they don't even know you, why value their words? The fact that they have to insult people anonymously via the internet is already sad enough - they're sitting at home at their computer coming up with this *kitten* while you're outside socialising, going to the gym, working hard on your goal. Don't waste your energy on them.0 -
Trolls!0

What do I say? I gasp and scream "Someone on the internet DOESN'T LIKE ME?!?" Then I start penning my suicide note.
But seriously, it's Facebook. It's little more than a digitized gas station bathroom wall...0 -

You block them, simple as that.0

well no matter where the insult comes from whether its the internet or face to face or hearsay...it does hurt. People can say don' t let it bother you...well its does..maybe just don't let it consume your mind...some can say block or delete..thats great..so it doesn't happen again from the same person. I just realize folks talk tough behind a computer screen all the time, and more often then not what they're slinging out they're feeling about themselves...I will and have always challenged it...not gonna let something like that go..if they think that I would ask them questions as to why they think that. In a condescending manner of course...I weighed close to 300lbs at one point and got insulted all the time by haters...I don't see them even attempting now0

What is the context? Am I asking for opinions on a recent shoot and demanding that people be brutally honest? Or are these people just coming out of the woodwork and saying "you're a big fat ugly fat fattie"?
If I am asking for honest opinions on a photo shoot I've done or on a random photo of say, an outfit I'm thinking of wearing, I want honest opinions. If someone criticizes me by saying "that outfit makes you look fat", I will thank them for their honesty. If their response is "you look bad in blue", I will thank them for their honesty. These are constructive criticisms about what I'm wearing, a color I'm in etc. They aren't direct insults towards me.
If their response is "you are so fat and hideous", I will probably unfriend them because that is a direct insult and not a constructive criticism. It also doesn't really bother me. If I was really that fat and hideous, photographers wouldn't want to work with me.
Now, on the other hand, if someone just randomly messages me on FB to say I'm ugly out of nowhere, without even being asked for an opinion, I would probably unfriend and block them. Because someone who goes out of their way to contact someone to insult them for no reason sounds like a psycho to me.0 -
I rarely call people fat or ugly.
buuuuut I know of two fat and nasty trolls I'd like to tell that to. They are ugly people both inside and out. BUT out of respect for my SO I don't.
my advice. Take the high road.. the low road is already crowded witht those *kitten* anyway0 -

awesome awesome words...I love that0 -
I would use it as motivation for my workouts then I would tell them " I dare ya to say that to my face" and post a picture of my biceps Don't let that coward get to you0
-
I wouldn't reply to such rubbish, delete.. block and move on. Life's too short to waste on people like that and you clearly stated they don't even know you, so don't give them the power to make you feel bad.0

Had someone do that to me on Youtube. I don't know if they were a troll or just stupid - they commented on an old kung fu video where I was breaking blocks.
I thought to myself, "Yes, I'm fat. But I just slapped through 2 inches of concrete. What did you do today?" Then moved on.
People who know me on Facebook know better - I've never had to remove a friend, but that would be my reaction if they said something like that.
But not before getting my verbal licks in. I'll take the high road, but not to retreat.0 -
I'd google their address and send them a pile of dog sh1t
Not as entertaining as a flaming bag of poo while hiding in the bushes0 -
Probably would just agree with them and go about my day.0

That's what DEFRIENDING is for.0

First of all, you are neither fat nor ugly. You are FIT and PRETTY! I especially like your long hair and wish I could braid mine like that. My guess is whoever said that to you is either jealous of you, or they're just a miserable, insecure, ugly person on the inside (and possibly on the outside as well). You could unfriend or block the person. Don't even bother responding or engaging because they may just escalate and say more hurtful things.
I actually deactivated my Facebook account a few weeks ago, not because of anything anyone said to me, but just because I got sick of it and the drama it can cause. I'm really enjoying a break from it and doubt I'll be reactivating anytime soon.0 -

If it's some random person who you don't know and who hasn't met you then I would just laugh and ignore them. They are probably sending the same message to loads of random people, just to see if they can get a reaction from someone, anyone... which just makes them pathetic saddos without a life! If someone doesn't know me, what do I care what they say to me, since they don't even know if it's true and I could be a superslim gorgeous super model?! If it is someone you friended then I would ask them why they would say such a nasty thing and then unfriend them as none of my real friends would call me such names!0 -

If I don't take it personally I ignore them.. If I take it personally I do a bit of research and sign them up to www.lowermybills.com and just about any other horrid thing I can think of where they will contsantly be annoyed/spammed for all of eternity!0
