Weight Loss

I'm overweight and I'm trying to figure out what a healthy diest/lifestyle range would be to get to my goal weight. I'm 5'5" at 155lbs. I'm supposed to be under 150lbs to be at a "normal" weight. My goal weight is 130-140lbs. I struggle with binge eating and eating when I'm not hungry. I was under the impression (before I read all the feedback on this site) that in order to lose weight you need to eat less and exercise. I find it extremely disheartening that when I am not hungry I should eat anyways because my calories haven't been satisfied. What if I ate double the amount of calories I was supposed to eat yesterday and now I'm stuffed today because of it? Should I let my body digest and get back to normal and not eat as much because I'm so full from the day before? My main question is - how do I lose weight if I'm eating when I'm not hungry? This has never worked for me in the past...

BTW - I love food - probably too much. I've never struggled with anorexia or bulimia...only binge eating.

Also, I've seen comments in the past where people are belittled and judged for writing about their low calorie intake and I ask you please not to judge and please be respectful of myself and all the other people reading this who are struggling with the same type of thing.

Support is greatly appreciated as I believe that is why we are all on this site to begin with.

Thanks :)
