Ok, I'm 35 5'7" and 183lbs. I understand the concept of having a deficit to lose weight. One lb is 3500 calories, I've got that much. Where I'm having trouble, is trying to find information on eating back exercise calories. I have been stagnet for a few weeks now, although I have a deficit. I'm concerned that possibly I'm not eating enough to lose weight? I do have a lot of muscle, more than most women. Does anyone have any suggestions abot eating back your eaercise calories and how to find a more accurate number for the calories you burn daily?

Thanks in advance!

This will walk you through finding a starting point. I am eating right about what my BMR is supposed to be (1500 cals) and have been losing weight smoothly (Just over a pound a week), which can be difficult since I am so close to my goal weight (~10lbs away). Remember that the calculator is just an estimate and you may need to play with your numbers a little.

  • Does anyone know if you are at a deficit in total calories daily, and the weekend comes, can you use those extra calories you didn't consume during the week on the weekend and still be ok?/on track?

Within reason - don't eat 500 calories a day so you can have 20k on the weekend. But if you eat 10% less on Thursday and Friday so you can eat 10% more on Saturday and Sunday, you should be fine.
