30DS verses RI30

I'm coming down to the end of 30 day shred (7 days left) and I was planning on doing Ripped in 30 afterwards. I was wondering how difficult it is compared to 30DS. I'm struggling to do the unmodified moves in level 3. In the other two levels I could do what Natalie (the one doing the high impact) could do...now I'm following the other girl for most. Is Ripped in 30 about the same level of difficulty or does it step it up a notch right away in week one?
I know I can view a preview on youtube but sometimes it's hard to tell if its super challeging until you are actually doing it. I just want to make sure that I can do it well enough to push through til the end. This 30 day shred has been great and I've actually stuck with it EVERY single day :) That's the first time I've ever stuck with a video schedule.

And If anyone has before and after pics of their results for either....I'd LOVE to see it!! I'll be posting mine soon :)

Personally going from 30DS Level 3 to RI30 Level 1 was a step down. It was a lot easier (but still a good workout). I kind of got bored with Jillian so I finished out the Level 1 week, did some other stuff for a few days, then did Level 2 and MAN. It's really hard! Now doing L2 kind of every other day and it's tough.

I've done both, and ya week 1 of RI30 is fine cause its very similar to 30DS, the other ones are crazy!!!...but after a few times it becomes easier and its a really great workout. I find i didnt get as bored during RI30 because you spent less days on each workout compared to 30DS. If you have done 30DS, you can do RI30, i promise!! Don't be scared of levels 2-4, just do the best you can:)
  • Hi! I finished 30DS recently and went right into RI30. Week one was easier for me than week 1 of 30Ds. I don't know if it was because I was in better condition or if it was just overall easier, but I I finished level 2 yesterday (but I might do it another day or two) It was tough, but I could do it. I'm 47 and still 40lbs overweight, so sometimes I do a modified version, but not as easy as their modified. It is tough. Lots of plankercises which tend to be about the most difficult thing she offers for up for me! ugh! I'm looking forward to level 3. I didn't take pics with 30ds, but lost a total of 5 inches: 2 off hips and 1 off of waist! The best to ya and I know you can def do the RI30 and get a good workout!

I did 2 rounds of 30DS before I did Ri30. L1 of Ripped is easy in comparison, but she steps it up a lot from L2 and L3 is pretty tough. It is a bit tougher than 30DS, but I prefer the Shred ultimately (my results). I did 2 rounds of Ripped back to back as well. They are both excellent!

I went directly into RI30 from 30 DS and yes, L2 and up is more difficult in my opinion. I am on my last day of L3 and i am a little scared of L4 but i am going to give it a go...
I don't think i burn as many calories doing the RI30 because it seems like there is more resistance work as opposed to all the jumping and lunging like in 30DS... there is also the possibility that i am just not able to do these moves as well as i can the 30DS.

Less jumping and lunging sounds nice :) Now that I'm losing weight, I really want to start toning up so the resistance would be great.

I worked through the 30DS, eating 12-1500 calories a day, during September. While I was frustrated with my weight loss (about 8 lb), I did lose 4 1/2 " off my waist. My other measurements went down, too, but less dramatically. I can really tell I'm more toned though, and during the last week of 30DS people started commenting on the changes, which is always motivating:)

I went right into RI30 (just finished day 4 of week 1), and it is very doable after finishing 30DS. I do some of the modified versions, just depending on the move, but a lot of that is my lack of coordination:) I'm scared of weeks 2-4 based on others comments, but determined to keep going.

What does everybody do after RI30?? Rotate back through, going for unmodified? A different DVD? I have to confess, I really like the 20 minute workout thing, and would struggle to fit a longer DVD in...

    Good luck everyone!
