Cold Weather Comfort Food- Chili Beans
The weather is nippy & snowy here in ol Paris, Texas tonight. I made a pot of chili beans for our dinner. Hubby will be home in an hour! Thought I would share it, I broke it down on Spark People.

Homemade Chili Beans
150 Minutes to Prepare and Cook
Ingredients
Ground Beef (lean), 1.5 unit, cooked (yield from 1 lb raw m
Salsa, 2 tbsp
Tomatoe Sauce, 1 cup
*Green Chili Peppers, canned, 4oz
Beans, pinto, 4 cup
Onions, raw, 1 small
*Onion powder, 1 tbsp
Garlic, 1 clove
Garlic powder, 1 tsp
Chili powder, 2 tbsp
Water, tap, 3 cup (8 fl oz)
Canned Tomatoes, 1 can
Directions
Brown together onion, garlic, ground beef, & dry seasonings. When meat is brown, drain off any remaining oil from the meat.
Add 4 cups of (cooked) pinto beans & all of the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil for one minute & then simmer on low for 2 hours. Makes 12 one cup servings.
