Couch to 5K iPhone Application

For ages I have noticed the C25K threads on here but never went into them for some reason.
Then last night while I couldn't sleep :frown: I was browsing the application store on my iphone and I noticed this application. I never knew what the C25k was about so I downloaded it and I really excited about starting this!
The other day I was thinking to myself that I would love to be able to run/jog again for a good amount of time and it must of been fate that brought me to that app!
I am starting it first thing in the morning in the gym and its so handy that you can play your own music on the app and it tells you when to run and when to walk.
It is PERFECT!
Does anyone else here have that application?

I looked at it the other day but haven't purchased it yet. I have a shin splint and won't be running for awhile.
I do love this website: http://www.kissmyblackass.org/
Suz is her name and she made some pretty darn cool playlists for the C25K. Just click on the Podcasts tab. They are not podcasts per say but you can save them to your ITunes music file. She's got some great stuff on there.0 -
I do! I haven't used it in a while because I sort or switched up my workout, but I think it's a great app because you can listen to your own music...I hate listening to most podcasts's background music.0

Thanks for the link, I'm off now to check it out!
toots when you were using it, how did you find it?0 -
I thought it was great...when you are using it, make sure you have the ringer switch on the side of the phone switched on or else you won't hear the voice prompts telling you when to run or walk. It took me a bit to figure that out, I was like "Why can I hear my music, but not the voice promts?!"
Do you have to pay for it now? The one I got, I don't think I paid for it.0 -
Yea it cost around .79cent which isnt too bad considering I might be able to run for 3 miles in the not so distant future!
I am starting early tomorrow morning and dreading the waking up and going to the gym but looking forward to the feeling afterwards!0 -
Awesome! Good luck!0

Thanks Great!
I tried this out this morning and oh man I was wrecked into the second running period. I seem to get shin splints when I run. Is there anything I can do to avoid it or should I just bare through the pain and try and get through it?0 -
Ice, heat, deep massage (you can do it yourself) very close to the shin bone.0
