Do you think it would take to fill up the ceiling of a 10x12 foot room?

well, that's 120 square feet, so if each balloon takes up about a foot of space...120...if they're smaller, more!

    how tall's the room?

    how tall's the room?

Would the height of the room really matter if it's just to fill the ceiling?

Doesn't matter, I asked about the 2 dimensional space of the ceiling, not the 3 dimensional space of the room . . . although I do think that waking up in a room literally filled with balloons would completely freak out my 3 year old. I just want to cover his ceiling. They have kits that you can buy, it's supposed to be enough helium to fill up 30 baloons. It would definitely be too many trips to the store, even in the minivan . . . and then where would I hide them all? I figured I'd put him to bed Friday night and then blow them up myself for his birthday Saturday morning.
