So my partner has joined the gym with me but has only been able to go for one week because he hurt his knee on one of the machines (we assume the rowing machine because it's the muscles behind his knee, the one's he would use to pull himself back in) he's very fit and loves exercise so it's not an excuse to not go to the gym, he's actually quite peeved off that he can't go, he has tried but within ten minutes he's in a lot of pain. He's used Flexall (gel for muscle and joint pain) with no relief, I have a handheld heat/massage machine for injuries that hasn't helped either.. He wont go to a doctor because all the doctor will say is "You need to rest it" but he can't rest it as much as he would like because of his job.. what do you all do when you have an injury and how do you help the healing process?

I do whatever I can to work around it. Last time I hurt my knee I focused on upper body for 3 weeks, and walked 20 minutes a day.0

We've been trying to go for walks but it's really aggravating his knee. And we usually spend an hour and a half at the gym so he doesn't want to be doing weights for 1.5hrs (because of all the teenagers who go to the gym and never even touch the cardio machines because they're only there to show off) so I've been going to the gym alone And i don't want to cut back on the gym time for myself because i'm trying to become as fit as him and lose weight lol0
