Getting back on track after life kicks you down

I feel like I've been on such an emotional roller coaster since February. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer and he just passed away last week (9/10) at only 62 years old, now I'm sick with a cold, want to crawl into a hole and just stay there. I don't want to exercise, I don't want to track what I'm eating, I just want to sit on the couch or sleep (and eat snacks that I can't even really taste because of my cold).
I had an appointment with a counselor tonight but I'm sick so I rescheduled it, I know this is the grief and the struggle that I'm facing, but when life kicks you in the gut how do you keep/get yourself on track for the greater good?

I'm so sorry to hear that i know it cant be easy. I've found that having a support system where people have the same goals has been extremely beneficial. i have a ladies only support group on fb. We would love to have you! we have challenges every so often and share ideas and tips. Send me a msg if you're interested0
